Noida, Aug 20, 2025 — Former IPS officer Basant Rath has announced the launch of his coaching institute’s inaugural batch for civil services aspirants, offering a unique opportunity for candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North-East.
The coaching will be conducted at the institute’s Noida centre starting next month and will focus exclusively on classroom teaching for General Studies. Rath clarified that no online alternative is available at the moment.
In a major relief for aspirants from these regions, the programme will be provided absolutely free of cost, subject to clearing a walk-in interview and an essay test.
For other candidates, the fee structure has been fixed at ₹2.4 lakh for the eight-month programme, inclusive of taxes.
The announcement has generated widespread attention among civil services aspirants, especially given Rath’s reputation and the high cost of UPSC coaching in major cities.
