Leh, July 10, 2025 — In a significant administrative move, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has officially reconstituted the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board. The decision was announced through Order No: 63 – Home of 2025, issued on July 9, 2025, by the Home Department.
The reconstituted board will be responsible for the recruitment of non-gazetted posts across various departments, including the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service, Ladakh Prison (Subordinate) Service, and Ladakh Fire and Rescue (Subordinate) Service. The board will oversee and supervise the entire recruitment process, including the Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test, and Written Test under the Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) guidelines.
Composition of the New Board:
- Sh. Vikas Kumar, IPS – SSP, Traffic Ladakh (I/c DIG Leh-Kargil Range) – Chairman
- Sh. Altaf Ahmad Shah, IPS – Commandant, IRP 25th Bn – Member
- Sh. Fuzelee Piyush Nirakar, IPS – SSP, Security, Ladakh – Member
- Sh. Nitin Yadav, IPS – Addl. SP, Kargil – Member
- Sh. Rigzin Sangdup, JKPS – Addl. SP, Leh – Member
- Sh. Mohd Ali – DySP (M), Kargil – Member
The order also states that the Chairman of the Board may co-opt additional officers if necessary. Moreover, for any recruitment process to proceed, at least half the strength of the Board must be present to form a quorum, with the Chairman being a mandatory member except in emergent situations.
This decision supersedes all previous orders related to the subject and aims to ensure a transparent and efficient recruitment process for subordinate services across Ladakh.
