In a landmark development for Ladakh, the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched the Ladakh Analytics and Management of Assets (LAMA) Geoportal at the University of Ladakh.
The launch event was graced by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Sh. Kavinder Gupta, leaders of the LAHDC Leh, and Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha.
The LAMA Geoportal is designed to empower governance, resource management, and research through cutting-edge space technology. It will provide critical geospatial data for decision-making in areas such as natural resources, infrastructure planning, disaster management, and environmental monitoring.
This initiative marks a major step in integrating space technology with regional development in Ladakh.
